• EDS2006 is targeted at Windows/2000 and XP only.  If you are presently using Windows/98 or Windows/NT you should first update the operating system on the computer.  
• You will need the password for EDS2006.  To get this, contact to TEKSER CORP.

First-Time Installation of EDS2006

Please follow the steps below when installing EDS2006 for the first time on a system

1. Un-install all other IXRF software.  You may leave the EDS2000 Support and EDS2004 Support  packages installed, if desired.  All other IXRF software must be removed prior to installation of EDS2006. 
2. Install the .NET Framework 2.0. See instructions below.
3. Install EDS2006Support.  See instructions below.
4. Install EDS2006

Installing .NET Framework 2.0

It is only necessary to install the .NET Framework 2.0 once on a system. This package installs the latest .NET Framework components for usage by applications built using .NET 2.0 technology. To install the .NET Framework 2.0:

1. Download dotnetfx.exe
2. Close all applications on the computer.
3. From the Windows Explorer, double click on the file dotnetfx.exe to start the installation. Follow all the default prompts for installation.
4. Restart the computer after the installation, when instructed.

Installing EDS2006 Support

It is only necessary to install EDS2006 once on a system.  This package installs additional Windows libraries that are necessary for the operation of EDS2006.  To install EDS2006 support files:

1. Download eds2006Support.msi  
2. Close all applications on the computer.
3. From the Windows Explorer, double click on the file EDS2006Support.msi to start the installation.  You may get an error message titled "MDAC 2.8 RTM."  Click Cancel in the panel displayed to continue the installation.   This message indicates that a newer version of MDAC is already installed on the computer.
4. Restart the computer after the installation, when instructed.

EDS2006 Beta 12 (June 1 9, 2006)

It is recommended to uninstall any previous EDS2006 prior to installing Beta 12.  You do not need to uninstall the EDS2006 Support Files if you have already installed them..

• Download eds2006_1Beta12.exe.  
• From the Windows Explorer, double click on the file EDS2006_1Beta12.exe to start the installation.

EDS2006 Beta 11( June 9, 2006)

After installing EDS2006 Support files, install EDS2006 by doing the following:

• Download eds2006Setup.msi.  
• From the Windows Explorer, double click on the file EDS2006Setup.msi to start the installation.

If you are experiencing installation problems with EDS2006, please contact TEKSER CORP.  In addition, you can install the following version of EDS2006 which uses a different installation technology.  The final release of EDS2006 will utilize the MSI technology and the installation below should only be considered a temporary "fix" in order to use the EDS2006 software.

Alternative Installation for EDS2006 Beta 11 (June 9, 2006)

After installing EDS2006 Support files, install EDS2006 by doing the following:

• Download eds2006_1Beta11.exe.  
• From the Windows Explorer, double click on the file EDS2006_1Beta11.exe to start the installation.
